JEE Main vs JEE Advanced: Key Differences Every Aspirant Should Know
Authored by
Prof. Amit Kumar
What is JEE Main?
JEE Main is the first stage of the Joint Entrance Examination. It is used for admission to NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions.
What is JEE Advanced?
JEE Advanced is the second stage, used exclusively for admission to IITs. Only the top 2,50,000 JEE Main qualifiers are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.
Key Differences
The main differences lie in the difficulty level, question pattern, and the scope of the syllabus. JEE Advanced tests deeper conceptual understanding with more complex problems.
